04 May First look: Reformation Brewery’s new Woodstock location

Woodstock’s Reformation Brewery is gearing up to open a second location.
Reformation, well known for its Belgian-style ale “Cadence,” hopes to open the new brewery in downtown Woodstock in early August.
The 6,000-square-foot, five-barrel brewhouse will come to 105 Elm Street.
The new location will serve as a “research and development” brewery.
“This will allow us to brew a new beer each week,” Reformation CEO and co-founder Spencer Nix said at a recent event where the brewery launched its new “Ted’s White Ale” for Ted’s Montana Grill.
Nix added that Reformation’s growth has been rapid and the brewery produced around 6,000 barrels last year. The new facility will help meet the team’s space needs and allow them to innovate.
The new brewery will have two public bars, serving between 16 and 24 unique brews. There will also be a large outdoor green space under an elm tree.
“Inside you will find three different gathering spaces,” said Reformation spokeswoman Jessica Miller. “The Keeping Room will be a thriving atmosphere where the public meets for beers. A few steps up into the next level will lead to a quieter zone we call the Study, where guests will find booths, sofas and chairs flanking a second bar. Opposite of the Study is a gathering hall with games, a giant screen and room for a singer-songwriter to perform.”
She added the new brewery will have events, from weekly trivia to monthly game night, book club and yoga events.
“We are really excited to activate the Market & Elm district of Woodstock,” Miller said. “The walking and biking trailhead for miles of paved trails is at the corner of our location and we look forward to working with our neighboring businesses to engage the public in unique ways.”
